I think the server has been seen to now I have not read that series although it sounds as if I would enjoy them This part of the garden is supposed to convey the structure that was once the Benedictine monastery, hence the monk

Oh yes, there’s no point expecting any compassion from weaker people and it’s logical. You’d not get a lot of compassion from a child but the child might get it from you.

Hello Cherie – at last: access! Looks as if your evil server ate my previous comment attempt; so forgive if this is duplicate.
Love this one – so true. Enjoyed LR’s Hyman Kaplan series + The Joys of Yiddish, so recommend if you don’t already know ‘em. Glorious pic, as ever; that sculpture of the ‘contemplative’ monk (ie sneaking a snooze!) in the corner makes it, somehow.
