The sun itself was big and round and red. I was driving at the time and was able to see it in my rear view mirror all the way home. It is a shame I wasn't able to stop and photograph that. We have a 'Brighton' here in Australia too, right on the beach, and the pier is still enjoyed by visitors and fisherman. Your sunset there is beautifully pastel and understated, quite different to our sunsets, but very ethereal in its way. ;-) Lovely photo!
