How true. I don’t get out in the garden much – fortunately my husband has a passion for it. A garden is never done.

I don’t have a green thumb. Actually, people are grateful if I just sit in the shade, and not touch their gardens! But I do admire and praise a gardener’s talent, hard work and creativity.

Our last B&B in France last week, Cherie, was run by an English couple who had a delightful English garden. You would have been proud of it, as were we!

I’ve done a bit of ‘playing’ in a beautiful garden recently.
No sitting in the shade for some!

Actually, most, if not all, of England’s (official) Gardens were made by the richest of the land sitting in the shade.
The hard work was done by us ‘peasants’ toiling for a few crumbs that fell from their tables.
