I don’t remember that statue from Hardwick Hall, but it is one of the places that stands out in my memory as a great place to visit. There was so much to learn there.

Hardwick Hall and Hardwick Old Hall are situated next to each other. Both places are well worth a visit. Visit the old hall first, it is a ruin but quite fascinating. You can take pictures inside. National Trust is working on this and more and more of their properties are allowing internal photography (albeit without flash). I haven’t been to Hardwick Hall in York before.
Is it worth visiting?

Sometimes, the National Trust stops you from taking pictures inside…
Can you please tell them this, “I’m a tourist not a terrorist!” when you see them in your next visit?! Ha… ;P
