The Flodden battle site is very close to where I stay when I visit Northumberland. My previous visits have always been in September and I was curious to see how the land looked in a different season.

I have a series of posts about the battle which can be found here along with some of my previous photographs.

All the battlefields of the world have ghosts roaming them, Cherry, I´m sure of it. I wonder what the ones here would say to us?

Amazing first image, I like the composition very much. It’s not a tragedy that I don’t visit this area of Northumberland more often.
