I would have liked to include a bit more of the stairway to the left but right in front of the door that just shows in the bottom middle of the photo was a no entry sign and red and white tape. Now, years on, I have quite a few of these paintings, some stored upstairs but several, framed, and hanging around the house. In the lounge at this minute, is an oil painting, just as your second picture down! I had never known where the location was. Their relationship was not like the Victorian upstairs/ downstairs. I am going to Switzerland and the French Alps tomorrow.
