I German snowdrops are being called snowbellies (Schneeglöckchen).
I keep calling snowdrops snowbells, because I get a bit confused between snowdrops and bluebells
But there is a flower called snowbell
Looked that up, and if I don’t err those ’snowbells’ in German are ‘Märzbecher’ (March goblets, or so).
Yes, yes, in England they are being called ’snowflakes, hm?

I didn’t know “dropped” can also be spelt as “dropt”!!
So it’s like leapt, dreamt, burnt, learnt, swept, etc.
Dropt was a new one on me too!!
