Pretty much anyone who cares to comment says things like "Ah lovely", "So true", "beautiful words", etc., etc., and nothing wrong with that for I am sure they mean it, but on many occasions I have tended to analyse things more critically, being a critical and cynical grump, I suppose...

I am sure I could quite easily find a quote to fit the bill, but it is more difficult to add into the equation one that I totally agree with.

No we have never met, although we have been reading and commenting on each other's blogs for a long time.

:-)
The really assertive quotes which I think you maybe referring to never made it to my list for posting. I prefer the quotes to be a bit more subtle, but that is just me.

As to the mention of heaven and hell that you said in your reply to James. This quote doesn't make think of that. But my views on that sort of thing aren't typical anyway ;-)

As you said it is interesting to see how different people interpret the same words.

Depends on whether you view it on the non-spiritual level as I did or the spiritual level Cherie presumably refers to. A spiritual level interpretation did not even occur to me, whereas some may immediately think of the quote as describing the supposed destinations of heaven or hell. I read in the sense of the "To be or not to be" dilemma, as it might apply to such people in "just can't take it anymore" moments. We can take from words whatever we find in them, but this means that different people may like the same words for very different reasons. All interesting.
