I didn’t know about Shaun when I posted it and was very upset later in the evening when I found out.

But this flower and the autumn leaves and the quote I posted for Jams feel right as a tribute to him. I must have known in my subconsciousness when I posted this.

I will miss him so much…

Thank you for the beautiful flower. Truly needed this photo. Nature does offer some comfort when life’s events plunge us into sadness. I will miss Shaun so much. A kind, gifted friend, with a clear perception of things. And always with a word of encouragement for each one of us. He also knew how to make me laugh. Dear Jams!

Very sad and sudden. He was commenting on various blogs just an hour or so beforehand. A fine friend although I never met him in person, yet I felt I knew him better than many of the people I meet every week.

And many thoughts today make me think of our blogging friend “Jams O’Donnell” (Shaun Downey), sadly no longer with us. His photos showed some nice little bits of Nature’s secrets.

I am as always at this time of year, impatiently waiting for spring.

I do have to confess I prefer the snow to the dull grey march days we have had in recent years. Although last year we did have a heatwave in march!
