Oh, what a shame..
I think you need to look at the new hall
The ‘new’ hall looks stunning from your pictures. It’s just so sad to see an empty hulk still standing like that.
The Old Hall is rather controversial, some would like to see it restored and others do not.
Personally I think it adds to the history of the estate to leave it as it is…
Hi Cherie,
Great photo, as always. Keep on doing what you do. Cheers.
PS. No over-reaction, no police, no worries.
Claude is dead on!
I would find it hard to be anything other than me
Thank you
Rather poignant.
I quite like the young girl contrasting against the faded glory in the background.
Another new leaf
Oh. I had not even noticed the girl. Even more poignant. And between the two a bare tree that unlike hall or girld will come into leaf again. Very nice.
If you look even closer you can see her brother behind her although he is not so visible because he is wearing blue.
As to the old hall coming into leaf, someone recently commented on a previous post that they thought it should be restored and perhaps turned into a hotel or a private club and museum.
There are elements here that seem to have been re-created in the new hall. It’s a shame I didn’t have time to explore this building as it was getting dark during that December afternoon.
I didn’t explore it on this occasion but I have on a previous occasion. It is well worth exploring, the views from the top of the building are quite something!
