I think they are more like Greek toes, Roman toes have three the same size. Not that I am an expert. I am not at all sure what that means though... You see, your second toe is longer than your 'big toe'. I believe this is a sign of great wisdom and beauty. It was a much sought after attribution during Roman times when everyone wore open sandals and men were able to choose their future brides from a study of their feet. I'm sure there is a name for this, just as some people study 'bumps on the head' - phrenology? Something like that.
