The first time I was near Lindisfarne was when I was a youngster. My Dad drove down to the causeway in passing. The tide was just coming in as we got there so he just turned off the engine and we watched the tide come in. A car that had got there just before began to attempt to cross the causeway... The driver soon realised the error of their ways and reversed madly back to shore. Luckily they made it!!! Getting an interesting photo of the castle is a challenge.

Despite the Castle being of architectural and distant photographic interest, it's a challenge to get good composition. Having said that, you've done a great job with the second shot. The foreground fence and tree are a great idea. I'm privileged to say that I can count on both hands the number of times I've been here due to my reasonably near geographical location. However it should be more ... were it not for the getting the tides, weather and day off all in sync. So many beautiful places nearby also to distract. Any one else reading these comments ... plan plan plan, take note of the tide times, despite what you think, you cannot beat it as the causeway road is far longer than you would ever think. Every summer there's always stories on the local TV of people being rescued from their drowning cars by the Seahouses lifeboat. Delightful place.
