I hope you get to go in April. I love Brugge (Bruges). Last time we visited in 2010, it was to celebrate my Birthday and we had a small family gathering. On that occasion we drove there, catching the ferry at Calais.

I love Brugge, have been there a few times and we might go there in the weekend of the 12th of April, I found a B&B, see if they have room for us.
We will go to Blankenberge and Zeebrugge too. We go by car, so it is easy to drive the area.
