On a side note, when with people I always get the butt of peoples jokes for photographing food. On another note, being essentially a landscape or outdoors person, I find it difficult to get the focusing and / or the light right on such subjects on occasions. Many people laugh at Belgium and deride it but I like it, and not just the "pretty" places, I like its atmosphere - just something about it - and the smell of waffles and coffee, and In Georges Simenon perhps, on balance, the author whose fiction I have most enjoyed (an effortless master of the novella). Thanks for making me think of Belgium again, and the worth of novellas. Lovely. I must go back.
