I was 14 and bought it as a 'discarded' heap for 10 bob, in partnership with another lad who soon 'sold his shares' to me. I felt quite grown up being as the car was 6 years older than I was. A bit of work on the engine and some attention to bodywork by a screwdriver and a hammer soon had it speeding along the farm roads behind my house. I on-sold it to other lads after a year of fun.
