I once had a tour of a French battleship, it was very interesting. I will have to see if I can find the photo and tell the accompanying tale.

It is a shame you didn’t get to see Winchester, it is well worth a visit.

We had a trip around the Naval Dockyard a few years ago and the aircraft carrier HMS Endeavour was in Port. All the vital equipment and guns were covered so we could only really see the decks but it was a most interesting trip, and we went to Winchester too, had to give up as we couldn’t find a parking space…disappointment all round!
