These days the wealthy land owners still need the help of others to keep the properties in good order and they often try to give something back to the community in some way. This gives benefit for all (in theory at least). The legacy we have inherited also provides a rich history book for all to appreciate if they know how to look. It makes you wonder what those not accustomed to wealth would spend the money on and what would be left of it in years to come.
