I saw something similar in Lichfield too, just some weeks ago. The church in the square was rather interesting. You know the little square next to Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum? That's the one. 1/4 is still a church, 1/4 conference centre, 1/2 museum! Ha ha... It's a multifunctional church! :) I love their market square, located right next to the abbey.
