What a lot of damage pecking can do over millenia.

    a nice photo essay.
it just struck me that most photos of this place that i remember are shot on cloudy, gloomy days, CP.

I have some bright blue sky photos from other visits to Stonehenge. I am not sure which way I like it best, both types of sky give it a different atmosphere.

In fact I am intrigued by the sky in these photos because it was a bright sunny day when we visited on this occasion. We walking around in shirtsleeves…

  4. Ha! EH must have forgotten to install the pigeons spikes on the stones. ;)

Well, we can clearly see who is boss of those stones.

I’ve never been to Stonehenge and I’ve got no great desire to go.; I think I may be disappointed and probably frustrated by the fact of bong unable to get close to the stones. Avebury is more appealing (and I believe is older).

I used to prefer Avebury but since the recent changes at Stonehenge I have become fascinated by the site.

It was possible to buy tickets for evening visits so that you could walk in the stone circle. I have had a quick glance on the EH site but can’t see it at the moment.

the aesthetics of music explored the mathematical and cosmological dimensions of rhythmic and harmonic organization.
