Mr C, my mum & I spent the Easter weekend at Stobbery House in Wells. We enjoyed a relaxing atmosphere, kind hospitality, a delightful garden and spectacular views. We attended the Easter Morning Eucharist service in Wells Cathedral. As the choir was singing the response (in Latin) to the initiation of the Eucharistic prayer I noticed fanned rays of light shining through an upper window illuminating the figure of Christ on the Cross high up in the scissor arches. It was a moving experience.
I am gathering my thoughts and photos together and will share my weekend with you soon.
What a beautiful photo!
Thank you
Sounds like you had a rather lovely Easter weekend – super photo. Look forward to reading your posts on the break.
It was a lovely weekend and I really must get around to editing my photos
I’m concerned that with all the work on your own place, you spend so little time there.
I spend a lot of my time at my place. However spending time there does not lead to day to day interesting blog posts…
My few holidays throughout the year give me much richer content to blog about
It’s a beautiful view.
It is and I hope to go back again and enjoy it
It’s like an oasis!
This one you could dip your toes into
Needless to say, Cherry, I’m looking forward to your images from that weekend. I especially wonder if you got a good view of those high-backed chairs from the chancel area???
I didn’t take any photographs inside the Cathedral this time round it was too dark on the day we visited.
Here is one of the high backed chairs from last time around:

I think that some of the choir were sitting in them for the service.
