Hotel Minster

When we got up we found that the weather was rather inclement so, after we had finished our breakfast and checked out, we decided not to go into York but instead to keep our options open and perhaps visit a property or museum on the way home.

Journey

As we were driving the weather soon turned to snow and the world either side of the motorway became white. We decided that stopping off was not the best option and made our way straight home. As we got close Shropshire there was no snow at all, just rain, so rather than go straight home we stopped off at David Austin Roses for lunch which was a nice end to our short break away.

Sometimes just punting is the best way to go. But hopefully that’s the end of the snow for all of you there for awhile?!

You had some great experiences again on this trip. wonderful pictures and I love that big Teddy Bear. Too bad that the weather turned into snow, good for you to stop for a nice lunch.

We did have some fun experiences and that large Ted is just fabulous :-)

Being able to have a nice lunch made up for not being able to stop of at a property or museum on the way home.

  4. I know, I just stayed at home, didn’t go anything this bank holiday. :(

  5. I confess that we too often try to squeeze ‘one more visit’ in on the way home from somewhere – my fault mostly! And I have a constant back-log of things to write up as a result!

I can’t agree that it is a fault to just squeeze in ‘one more visit’ on the way home. How could it be when I do the same thing ;-)

I too have a backlog of things that I need to write up and holidays sometimes overlap in my posts.

Better to have to many things to write about than not enough ;-)
