To them, rain evokes streams, and streams, Salmon. Rain is a shower: it cleans. They luxuriate in rain. (not howling rain, you understand. Not rain going sideways). Rain carries way allthose little blighters that insist on making their home in a bear chap's fur, as though he were some sort of shambling, rambling 'ecology'. To the bear this is an indignity. Bears revere their own dignity. It is Bearness-given. Can you not hear what he is thinking? "C'mon rain". :) Bears like rain. To them, rain evokes streams, and streams, Salmon.
