Nice to catch it sometimes

But will it keep being “beautiful”, with beauty being in the eye of the beholder? And why do we find it beautiful rather than horrifying or frightening? I wonder. I suspect natural selection has selected what we find beautiful in a way that preferentially fosters the survival and reproduction of those of us happily in appreciation of the natural world; and that creatures on other worlds, of which I suspect there are multitudes, may find beauty in rather different things.
