It’s good to see this, Cherie. Some of my forebears lived in Athelhampton, such a tiny village, and I have a very soft spot for it and the big House

The garden and house are lovely. Just after we left the property was sold and all the contents sold off so I am glad we got to see it when we did.

The new owner is going to keep it open to the public.

i love your thought for the week Cherie… and that magnificent pathway through the arch of trees to the vanishing point….peter:)

    • CherryPie says:

I love the view too, the vanishing point was quite poignant at the time we visited. Maybe that is the reason I was able to capture the photo in the way I did…

I would love to stroll down that tunnel of green.

  5. What can I say? Life is full of surprises.
Oh, that would make a good Brexit slogan!
    Don’t you agree?

    • CherryPie says:

My blog is not about politics, brexit, remain or any other flavour of political propaganda.

Think deeper about the quote. Political thoughts and behaviour are shallow in the wider context of life…
