Very intricate design indeed.
Have you been to the Museum of English Rural Life in Reading?
They got a huge collection of tractors from all over the country.
I have not heard of that museum before, neither have I (yet) visited Reading.
Then you should visit Reading.
You can see the ruins of Reading Abbey, it’s not as impressive as Whitby Abbey.
But it’s free to visit! So I guess beggars can’t be choosers.
Whitby is the home of my recent ancestors (male line) and I am a member of English Heritage so visiting the Abbey is free for me
You make me wish I could travel further afield than I do. Perhaps I can, but there are things that stop me, unfortunately. Another great trip for you by the look of the posts.
It was fabulous. We based ourselves in one place for the duration of our stay. We like to get to know and feel a place
These are far to fine ever to have been used, Cherie?
I am not sure if any of them have been used at least in a ceremonial way.
Wow. These are so ornate.
They are lovely pieces of artwork.
