I have not yet been to the Isle of Wight and I have only ever seen two red squirrels; one by Loch Earn and the other near Chillingham Castle. Both were random encounters. Just got back from Isle of Wight. Guess what? I saw a red squirrel there! Definitely the highlight of the entire trip. Earlier this month, I also saw another red squirrel in Leige, Belgium.
