Valentines menus in local restaurants did not inspire Mr C and I. Instead we opted for fine dining in Chez Nous.
Starter – Melba toast with smoked salmon and cream cheese
Main – Melt in the middle fish cakes
Dessert – Warmed apricots with honey, yogurt and toasted almonds
It goes to show, doesn’t it, that delicious fresh and colourful food is only half the issue. A lovely table setting is also important.
The table setting was a surprise gift for Mr C. He wasn’t expecting it and he loved it. What you can’t see in the photo is that the table cloth has roses on it. A new table cloth for the occasion
