I had to rearrange what I had been presented with so that there was cream and jam on both halves of the scone. For me it is cream first followed by jam on top but I could live with jam first rather than the strange arrangement I was presented with on this occasion! As I read, my initial reaction was "You call a scone lunch?" but then reading on it seems it was somewhat more substantial than a mere scone. But apparently the most vital issue was jam on top or cream on top? Although with it cut in half I suppose you could have had the best of both worlds. It is generally jam on top for me, although I suppose one time I could go absolutely crazy and try it the other way round - make life an adventure eh? Looks lovely.
