It is my local place where I love to walk and feel completely safe and I always go there on the spur of the moment. I know my local places are not too busy except in the school holidays. We thought me might visit Powis Castle as we traveled back from our recent holiday. We knew it wasn't busy because the message we got was 'ticket sales ended' rather than 'fully booked'. The book is lovely, lots of inspirational ideas of places to visit :-) I was so excited today when Attingham Park posted that they were trialing on the day booking for tickets. The pre-booking of NT tickets, although understandable, is a pain as like you I like to go on the spur of the moment and some places will be that popular you will have to book a long time in advance :( I have my eye on that book!!!!
