Strangely, winter aconites in East Asia only come with boring pale white. The stamens are the same yellow. But the East Asia aconites have purple pistils. We call them "spring equinox flowers" in Chinese. Ha ha... Oddly, yesterday was the spring equinox. The yellow from the winter aconite in photo 4 is so iridescent and vivid.
