I have lived on the borders of Wales for years, they have always put the Welsh language first on signs. However it is only certain areas of Wales that are what I would call ‘Very Welsh’ (meaning Nationalistic).

I like their bilingual signs.
Wow, Welsh comes first before English.
Talk about national identity, eh?
I think there are more folks in Wales, who can speak Welsh than folks in Scotland, who can speak Gaelic.
Yet, we don’t often hear the Welsh asking for independence, I wonder why.

I think you would enjoy a visit to the Castle. Hopefully the East Front entrance will be open. The views are spectacular and it connects the Castle to the landscape from a different perspective.

If you ever get to visit the UK again you should visit this place. I can’t guarantee a Peacock will put on a display for you. This is the first time for some years that I have seen one on top of the steps next to the castle doors.

I wonder if it is because the castle has been quieter over the last two years…

Love the Peacock. We got talking to a man at Croft Castle who recommended Powis Castle.

Now that is some entrance, Cherry. As a child I saw this for the first time and ever since it is a delight to see this. It has been a while that I saw that in real life though. Posing at that spot is a winner.
I would go for naughty cake as well
