This became more difficult during the 2020 & 2021 lockdowns. Hopefully things will get more back to normal and planning visits will be less problematic. The last town hall that I was trying to visit, was Lancaster Town Hall. But the receptionist told me that I would have to make an appointment. I was there only for that day, so maybe next time. The town hall was a real delight, Elizabethan on top and more late Victorian on the ground level. I am pleased the trade guilds can use the building, to stop it being exclusively available to the city's elite.
