The Original Old Rectory dates back to the mid 18th Century and served nearby Crostwick Church (one of the oldest churches in Norfolk). Now privately owned the Solomon family have transformed the Rectory into a beautiful Country House Hotel. Set within 3.5 acres of landscaped gardens The Old Rectory Hotel is ideally situated to enjoy the best that Norfolk has to offer.
The garden is lovely. So it is fitting that the large front of the old rectory is a VERY wide window. I understand that the first residents of the rectory did not have such a blissful view.

I am not sure what the original view from the rectory would be like. The modern additions including roads have changed how it would have looked when originally built.
What a magical and lovely place to stay. If staying for longer in Norfolk we go self catering in a cottage but last time for a night or two we stopped in a pub at StiffKeys.
When we had family holidays we always loved to stay in a self catering cottage. We had such a lot of fun
When there are only the two of us we prefer to stay in a B&B or hotel where we are looked after with breakfast and room service.
The room service aspect has not been the same since the various lockdowns. Maybe we need to rethink our options for future holidays.
