It was a strange time with our visits to Windsor and also Sandringham. On our first two visits we had no idea that Queen Elizabeth would no longer be with us when we made our planned return visit to Windsor.

Our holidays turned out to be a strange adventure…

Ha ha… is that how the pudding got its name, “mess”?

I passed on the Eton mess although at the moment Eton is shrouded in scaffolding in places and ‘is’ a bit of a mess.

i really enjoyed your “awful” post – sorry i could not resist it. i agree with you about the onscreen ordering. while i am not picky about food, it does strike me how often the skillfully shot photos on the displays are nothing like what eventually turns up on the plate.
