I know, Monica is so lucky! We also have a large population of Indian people in Malaysia, but our Indian food is very different to yours here. I kinda like the version here. It’s milder and creamier. Our Indian food is mainly from the South, so it tends to be spicier and drier. And usually served on fresh banana leaves.

As to the food… When I am out and about there are some nice restaurants to be found. But most often we dine at home because we cook to what I would call a ‘fine dining’ standard rather than the regular British cuisine. I am always envious of the dining experiences that Monica shares on her Yum List blog.

That being said there are some lovely restaurants in England. You just have to hunt them out.

Oh yes, road trip from the most southern tip of Peninsular Malaysia (where my hometown is) all the way to the north, could almost reach Thailand.
Already miss our local food so much.
Oddly I don’t miss Malaysia’s hot weather.
I like cold weather here in England but I don’t like the food here.
Ha ha… Life is full of hard decisions, what should I do?

Hello, I’m back! Went back to my home country, Malaysia last month.
