I can only think of one cathedral that has such imposing front elevation, ie, Wells Cathedral. Actually, I think Lichfield Cathedral is equally "majestic". The Cathedral square is a lot more inviting than this photograph suggests. I have some more photographs to share in my next post of areas that I chose not to include in this post because they include things that are not normally in the cathedral. Inside however the walls are white in colour and the windows let the natural light flood in. Inside this magnificent cathedral, only the back of the choir seats are dark.
