His widow was reminiscing about the local area which is where she grew up.

Oh, Cherie – I’m so sorry to hear about you friend!

But what a good idea to visit some of the local sites, your friend likely would’ve loved that you did that.

The graffiti art, are you a fan?

I am sometimes, it just depends. Interesting the different ways people want to leave their mark that they were here and what they did during their “stay” here on earth, whether it’s a cathedral or graffiti, isn’t it?

As for me, being no architect or graffiti artist, my goal is to just leave this earth the same or preferably better than I found it!

It was really weird to find everything closed so early on a bank holiday.

We found the room service to be excellent in the Premier Inn. Far better than in some more expensive hotels!

Prior to this stay we have only stayed in a Premier Inn for one night so that we are near to the airport for our early morning flight.

Public holidays are the main time that families can go to the seafront to find healthy, open-aired eateries. If they are closed, they spoil the families’ pleasures and they lose money themselves. Wake up, owners!
This was even more unfortunate since you needed some comfort before the funeral.

So sorry to hear about your friend. We often stay in Premier Inn as they are so accessible for my mum.

It’s strange that shops were closed on a bank holiday – hopefully the town picks up in the summer

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. We have often found that a portion of fish and chips for one will serve two! Although these days I have battered halloumi instead!
