From the Attingham Park guide book:

One of the garden’s treasures is the bee house, one of only two known Regency bee houses in the country. It was originally sited in the orchard to encourage pollination of the fruit trees, but was relocated to the lawn south of the Walled Garden. No one is certain who designed it but it could have been John Nash or Humphrey Repton when they were working for Thomas, 2nd Lord Berwick, in the early 1800s. It still houses bees in traditional straw skeps today, and the bees are looked after by the Shropshire Bee-keepers’ Association.
