Last night I had the opportunity to go and see Skyfall which is the latest Bond movie.

I found it to be an excellent film and in many ways it is a transition from the world that was to the world that is now. The world and the threats have changed in the 50 years since the first Bond film, Dr No, but the main characters and the typically unique style of humour reminds us that it is a Bond film.

Silva, who is the villain, is deliciously creepy and a surprising change from the villains of previous Bond movies.  He is also one of the best villains I have seen in a long time. The new Q is perfect for the role and I look forward to seeing him develop his role in future Bond movies. Eve also played her part excellently; her role develops throughout the movie as does the interplay between her and Bond.

Leaving aside the fact that it is a Bond movie, I think that anyone who likes a good action thriller would enjoy this film.
