<p style="text-align: justify;">The painting shows Christ being taken to Calvary.  If you look closely at the image you can see a conflict of eras which is quite quaint.  I particularly like the portion of the picture (displayed here) that shows Jerusalem complete with a windmill which seems to dominate that portion of the picture.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If successfully purchased the painting will remain on view in <a href="http://go2.wordpress.com/?id=725X1342&amp;site=nttreasurehunt.wordpress.com&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nationaltrust.org.uk%2Fmain%2Fw-nostellpriory&amp;sref=http%3A%2F%2Fnttreasurehunt.wordpress.com%2F" target="_blank">Nostell Priory</a>.  It is a place I have never been, I need to rectify that <img src='http://www.cheriesplace.me.uk/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">For the full report and more pictures of the painting <a href="http://nttreasurehunt.wordpress.com/2010/10/04/save-the-nostell-brueghel/" target="_blank">go here</a>.</p>
