…into Wales.

I am still a bit rushed off my feet with lots of things that need organising and visiting people etc etc. But despite this I have been keeping my eye on the weather for bank holiday Monday (today).

The weather promised to be cloudy but fine so I set off towards the place I had promised to visit which was Bodnant Garden. The SatNav picked an unusual but much quieter route than I would have thought to travel which was a perfect start to the day. The weather was also a lot more sunny than cloudy and added to the mix of visiting a garden, what more could a girl ask for?

The garden is famous for it’s Laburnum archway which is at it’s best in late May and early June. I managed to dodge the masses of people and get some acceptable (to me) photos of the archway and the flowers. The bluebells were still in bloom and contrasting nicely with pink of the rhododendrons and the green of the woodlands. It is a garden of many seasons so I know I will return at a different time of year.

It was a nice relaxing day, although the effects of the heat of the sun have left me feeling a little sleepy. But I do have an extra day off tomorrow

PS: On the way home I did a slight detour to get some mountain shots for my ‘100 hundred reasons to be glad’ project. That journey made me realise just how much I have missed visiting Wales in the past few years.
