I received an email with some pictures of 1930’s ads and this was one of them. The original was headed with “EAT! EAT! EAT! & ALWAYS STAY THIN!”

Yuk springs to mind and I think I will stick with a more healthy method of losing weight.

By the looks of that strange light, it seems that both the man and the bus were beamed up to who knows where…

After my recent post, ‘Photographing Pigeons in the Park‘, James wanted to know if I had been loitering on the park bench.  These photos reveal the awful truth of the matter…

If you look closely you can see it is the pigeons that were loitering.  In the second picture I have zoomed in so you can see them plotting on the bench!

It looks like Sean was right to raise concerns about about Andrew (see previous comments section).  But it is even worse than we feared because it looks like the pigeons are  in collaboration with the squirrels so who knows what can happen next.

There is a post on Andrew’s Blog today, but is it really Andrew?!?!?  It seems to be him but…

PS: For those of you who are awaiting a more serious post from me, I think there may be one or two in my head ready to escape

Trying to refocus out of serious mode into silly mode reminded me of some incidents during my recent weekend away in York…

When I was walking in the museum gardens I noticed an unusual coloured pigeon and thought it would make an interesting photograph.  The pigeon obviously had other ideas!

Something tells me that pigeon was one step ahead of the game

Last time I visited Alnwick Garden I took time to explore the Treehouse which is a lot bigger than your average treehouse.    It is built from  Scandinavian redwood, Canadian cedar and English and Scots pine, which are sustainable resources.  It is located in a copse of mature lime trees and is quite fascinating to see. There are rooms that house bars, restaurants and educational areas which are linked by walkways and wobbly rope bridges.

Although not a great lover of heights I decided I had to try out the rope bridges.  I found myself alone on the bridge with two mischievous children.  They thought it was great fun to make the bridge rock wildly whilst I clung on tightly trying to get to the other side as qickly as possible.  They even managed to track me down when I embarked on my next bridge crossing, this time one on either side of me so that I couldn’t move anywhere…

They soon disappeared though when a man got on the other end of the bridge and played them at their own game.  I got to have the last laugh after all.
