I am doing research on an ancient millstone that is located near Shepody, New Brunswick, Canada. It has a particular feature which is rather rare in North American millstones: the curved shape of the carved-out sections that emerge from the stone’s centre eye (for the mill’s rynd). I noticed that the middle millstone in your photograph has such a feature. I was wondering where this picture was taken.

I am glad that you clarified that they were mill stones Cherie… i saw the broken wagon wheel and thought to myself… (self:) “you would hate to pull a cart with those stone wheels on it” lol… great composition….peter:)
