We chose Ravello above Amalfi where there were regular scheduled buses to Amalfi and the bus and boat link to towns beyond. We loved our holiday and would not change the experience. As we found out there are many excellent restaurants to explore in such a small town. However you need to decide what you want to do/see whilst you are there and how much time you are prepared to take in travelling.
