The boys had decided they were having a Napoleonic campaign on my living room carpet which meant I either had to go out or be consigned to the upstairs of the house.

I thought a slow morning and a lie in might be in order and I left instructions for people to arrive quietly.  I was woken up by an early morning doorbell going off…  So I read my book for while and then went out for my hair appointment then called back home for some lunch.  The campaign was still going strong so I read my book for a little bit longer and then went out to a couple of stationary stores.

Whilst I was out I nearly got knocked over by a car!!  I was walking across a zebra crossing when a car on the opposite side slowed down and then suddenly sped up onto the crossing.  Luckily my spider senses were tingling and I was able to step back quickly before he hit me.  The driver looking extremely shocked, but not half as shocked as me.  He had missed me by millimeters.

When I got back the campaign was still going on and my evening meal was severely delayed because they didn’t leave until 7.30.  Now I am on my lap top enjoying my lounge   Hopefully that is the last of the irritations…
