He resided 20 Institute Row on 3 Apr 1881 in Eskdaleside, York.⁽³⁰⁾ He was a Weighman at the Iron Works between 3 Apr 1881 and 4 Aug 1883. ^(7)(30) He died on 13 Apr 1888 in Grosmont, Yorkshire.^{(32) (27)} Parish register states killed by furnace yard. He was buried on 21 Apr 1888 in Grosmont, Yorkshire.^{(32) (27)} He was married to Mary Ann TRUEMAN on 10 Dec 1854 in St Mary's Church, Whitby.^{(30) (31)} Witnesses to the marriage were William Harland, Jane Thistle and Charles William Trueman.
