Recently, whilst I was browsing through my stats to see which of my posts had aroused interest I came across an unusual google search that had lead someone to my blog…
Keep Calm and Think of Cherie
I am not sure what to make of that, it could be interpreted in so many ways
It is a fantastic painting of you Cherie… never mind what to think of it… just Keep Calm and say thank you to whoever it was….peter:)
I made a digital painting of a photo that someone else had taken of me
I am mostly calm, it is in my nature
Very regal!
I didn’t realise I had that ‘Queen’ pose. I am flattered
You look so elegant, pretty, calm and warm hearted. Fabulous painting, Cherie!
Thank you Claude, your words make me feel very humble…
Just checked that in Google and you occupy the top two places.
Google is transient. When I wrote this post, this is the link (on the first page of the google search) that the search came too.

Currently it is on the second page of the Google search
It’s a funny thing, what search terms bring people to blogs. One blogger wrote on that topic and found that the most common search term was “Eileen nude” followed by “What to do on Sunday when you’re bored.”
I did an experiment, writing one on What to do on Tuesday bored or not | Khanya, but that didn’t work too well, because it has no comments, no “likes” and very few visitors. Tuesday just doesn’t seem to have the cachet that Sunday does. Perhaps I should write one on “Eileen nude and bored on Sunday” and see if that attracts the gawkers!
My top hit for a Google search which had been going on since I posted in 2010 is for ‘weekend chocolates’. It brings up my photo which directs people to my blog.
That is a fantastic picture/painting. I hope you have that framed and hanging in your house.
Thank you Jane
Sometimes I can hardly find any correspondence between google search and my posts, it’s a bit weird… The “painting” looks great, photos can be used in so many ways
Thanks Petra
Google does seem to work in mysterious ways.
It’s a lovely painting of you. I often don’t get the google search either, but staying calm and thinking of Cherie sounds like a good one.
Thanks Otto
Getting ready for the Ascot?
I’ve actually been there once, but horse racing is not really my cuppa tea.
I prefer the Chelsea Flower Show!
I have never been to either But the Chelsea Flower show would be my choice too
ah! now I understand

LOL
Everything is connected after all
I was quite happily swanning a long with my blog until a certain model with rather large assets emerged as Chrissy Marie. Some of the search terms are bizzarre and somehow I don’t think they find what they are looking for! Great image of you, very serene
You should sue her for copyright… It is an amusing thought
Thank you
It looks like a painting by Van Gogh.
BTW, have you watched Homeland on Ch4? In the credits I note Cherrypie Productions. Are you branching out?
I have not seen Homeland, someone must be mascarading as me
Fabulous image and an interesting technique. Would be interesting to see the original image. Maybe it’s about time I got into some of this digital techowizzardry instead of just point and click. Blogartistes Calum Carr and Jams O’Donnell/Sean Downey do interesting stuff with it. I need to get over my feeling that it is somehow cheating… Hmmm… No more cheating than a chemist such as me making a chemical that doesn’t occur in nature, I suppose… Sorry, I digress, as usual. Great image.
Oh, and next time I need to keep calm (which is very often) I will think of Cherie, and see…
You have set me a challenge to find the original image… This rendition was the result of me pressing a button in an artwork program. No technical skills required by me!
Nature just is and it needs no intervention from man…
This picture is an artwork inspired by nature
I am curious as to the outcome of thinking of Cherie when you need to feel calm.
The outcome was neutral. I decided on a cup of tea instead. Your Zen Guru calming powers cannot reach me up here in Scotland (where we do usually need more extreme forms of calming, such as the chemical cosh and padded cell)
I always find a cup of tea quite calming and refreshing. I think avoiding the liquid cosh is a good way to go…
