…500 – Internal server error.

There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

For some reason the server where my blog is hosted decided to stop working on Friday for the second time in 6 weeks!  My service provider advise that they provide 24/7 customer support, but I have noticed a pattern.  Everything goes quiet at the weekend, so it is really only 24/5 support.

Well fingers crossed, they sorted it this morning and I seem to be up and running again now…

Sorry to everyone (including me) who had the irritation of seeing this message over and over again.

My delayed weekend posts can be seen below.

And here i was thinking that “generic” blog hosting, like Blogger and Wordpress, was more reliable, until this morning when I found I could no longer access my Blogger blog to update it. See my Wordpress blog for the story.

    KIt seems nothing is reliable!

They all seem to have problems of one reason or another. I moved from blogger because people were having trouble commenting on my blog. The free Wordpress didn’t allow my to use my statcounter and now I am having trouble with the hosted version.

      Seems I can’t win…

So glad to see you back, Cherie – it has been frustrating for your followers.

My IT mate wanted to know precisely what had happened to you in order to see how it could be circumvented.

I shall look out my track of support messages and responses, they don’t say much – but I will mail them to you.

The problem was with the web host and not me, so it wasn’t something I could fix myself.

Thanks for explaining what happened. I’m just a neophyte in those areas. I thought I has created the problem, and not reaching your Flick’r was my punishment! Hope everything is OK for a long time.

  6. Yes, I got that message when I tried to visit your blog last night, Cherie. How maddening for you!
