I have been saying to my colleagues for some time that I thought that the Defence Support Group was a prime target for privatisation with supporting reasons why. As usual they looked at me as if I was talking in some sort of foreign language and then moved swiftly on. So I was quite interested to read the Defence Committee’s end of year report:

Sometimes it’s not good to be proved right.

It is much better to be listened to in the first place. I am sure you know how frustrating it is when people don’t see the truth of the matter.

Sighs all round. You seem a bit busy right now.

Wonder what happened before DARA came about…?

If the Government hadn’t of cut the Forces they would still be maintaining …. maybe I am wrong….You are either Forces or you are not…in my eyes.

I mean who has had the proper Forces training!

I think you are right and the Government just make arbitrary cuts with out realising the consequences.

Part of the problem I think is that they receive advice/ideas from military personal who are used to peace time operations rather than war time situations.

This leaves everyone in a very vulnerable position.
