Moving away from the castle and into the gardens there was a lovely display of spring flowers. I did think of Uncle Bernard as I took these, although there aren’t 10,000 in this border.

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
I must admit, I haven’t found time to go back yet again to Clivedon and see if the 10,000 are out.
I love that hedge in the last picture. How do they get it so level.
100% level. – Amazing.
“I love that hedge in the last picture. How do they get it so level.”
I would like to know too, Bernard. I have a horizontal marker strapped to scaffolding; the latter is then moved along the entire length of my hedge whilst the cut is carried out manually with a professional petrol powered hedge trimmer. The result is still far inferior to this.
Beautiful shots, CP.
Uncle B – I am relying on you to provide me with a spectacular view of that 10,00!
I was curious about the levelling of the hedge(s) too. I have the urge to crop a little of the top of the last photo but then something would be lost…
It is a glorious display even if not 10,000
I am hoping that Uncle Bernard gets the chance to capture that 10,000 for us. It will be spectacular!!
I would say this is the warmest inviting area in the otherwise somber castle. Great photos.
Inside the castle is quite homely too. The lighting due to the sun being subdued by the clouds meant it was too dark inside to take photos to share with everyone. But of course that means I have a good excuse to go back to get the missing photos
Ah, to sit on that bench.
The benches always speak to me; sit, relax and reflect on life. The experience is so much better shared with a friend.
